makes me feel as though i am an ancient scholar

finding her way through the maze of words

finding that one hidden noun among the verbs

and sighing as the parchment flies up and escapes

just as my dreams leave my head and reach up to the sky

makes me feel as though i am but an old spirit

haunting the modern day

tutting at all the languages that float around

and knowing in my bones

that there is but one that makes sense to me

makes me feel as though i am at the highest point of my existence

simply translating and resonating

with words written ages ago

i live for the aesthetics and for the sensations

that is why
